Ronald is survived by his children: Ronald Jackson Jr. (Tammy), Jeffrey Jackson (Michelle), and Jennifer Proffitt (Mark); his grandchildren: Ronald Jackson III, Ethan Jackson, Tyler Jackson, Zachary Jackson, Emily Proffitt, and Matthew Proffitt; and his great-grandchild, Liam Jackson.

She was known for her infectious smile, her kind heart, and her strong faith. Gladys was a lifelong member of Sandy Level Baptist Church, where she served faithfully in various capacities throughout the years including as church treasurer. She also had a love of music and was an accomplished pianist who often played for the church services.
Gladys retired from the Pittsylvania County School System after many years where she served as an administrative assistant at both Chatham High School and Gretna High School. She was a dedicated employee who took pride in her work and always went the extra mile to help others.
Gladys will be remembered for her unwavering love, her cheerful disposition, and her unwavering faith. She was a true blessing to all who knew her and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Robert (Bobby) Alexander Mebane, Jr. (Danielle) of Hurt, VA; daughter, Lisa Mebane Smith (Tony) of Concord, VA; one granddaughter, Ava Makayla Mebane; one grandson, Ryker James Mebane; and one sister, Patricia B. Johnson of Gretna, VA. She was also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She also loved her grand-dogs, Bella and Lucy, dearly.
Brenda was a lifelong member of Red Oak Grove Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir. She was the pianist for Mount Zion Baptist Church for many years. She also served on the Adult Usher Board and was a member of the Red Oak Grove Church Missionary Circle. She was a member of Gretna Chapter #106 Order of Eastern Star since 1972 where she served as Past Worthy Matron and District Deputy Grand Matron.
