Das Chateau liegt zwangsläufig in einem Park, zur Weihnachtszeit aufwändig geschmückt und beleuchtet und vermittelt bereits bei der Anfahrt herrschaftlich/festliche Atmosphäre. Man kann bis unmittelbar vor den Haupteingang vorfahren und ausladen (dabei hilft man gerne), der Parkplatz liegt dann nur wenige Schritte entfernt. Ein gemütlicher Barbereich lädt ein, stilvoll einen Drink zu nehmen. Der Restaurantbereich ist standesgemäß ausgestattet und dekoriert. Die Speisenkarte bietet neben diversen veganen Gerichten, die auch zum Menue zusammengestellt werden können, eine gute Auswahl an unterschiedlichsten Speisen, als Menue kombinierbar, auch einzeln zu ordern oder auch individuell untereinander auswechselbar, da ist man sehr flexibel. Man kann begleitende Weine zu einem Pauschalpreis buchen, die dann das Haus zu jedem Gang aussucht, oder aus der Weinkarte ordern, die als fast 10 Zentimeter dickes Buch übergeben wird, dementsprechend kann man sich die Anzahl und Auswahl der vorgehaltenen Weine vorstellen. Die Qualität und Raffinesse der Speisen ist sehr gut, das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis angemessen. Der Service war äußerst aufmerksam und freundlich. Man hatte im Raum zig Kerzen angezündet, um uns echte Schlossatmosphäre zu vermitteln, immer wieder zwischendurch Wein und Wasser aufmerksam nachschenkend und bezüglich unserer Wünsche laufend nachfragend. Die Zimmer sind unterschiedlich, aber eben dem ”Gemäuer” entsprechend ausgestattet und eingerichtet. Die Suiten in der obersten Etage haben den Vorteil, dass kein Geräusch von der darüberliegenden Decke nach unten dringen kann. Der echte Holzfußboden eines Chateaus kann nicht so schallisoliert sein, wie ein Betonbau. Es kommt also unten auf die Rücksicht der darüber wohnenden Gäste an (Fersenläufer!!!). Unser Badezimmer (Zwei Waschbecken, Badewanne und große Dusche) war riesig groß und modern ausgestattet und eingerichtet.

We arrived at 1230pm to be told that check in wasn’t until 3pm. I asked if they were Full and was told no rooms were clean. The hotel really is in the middle of nowhere so we drove 20 mins to the city to the local supermarket. When back at the hotel, now 2pm, I asked if any rooms were available yet. No I was told, no rooms are clean yet. The lady didn’t even look to see if any were ready. Then at 230pm some other guests arrived and were given keys straight away, I said to her, you said that rooms were not ready until three pm. She said they have just become available! All the rooms? Available at exactly the same time? Anyway, I’m pretty sure rooms were available but they were just being difficult. The restaurant is over priced for what’s on offer and the breakfast basic for the cost. The rooms are pretty old fashioned and need updating.

Die allgemeine Umgebung ist gut, die Nacht ist sehr ruhig, die grundlegenden Einrichtungen sind vorhanden, die Schalenfüllung und andere, das Restaurant und die Attraktionen sind auch in der Nähe, jeden Morgen gibt es Schalen und die Tiger vor dem Schwimmen, es ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Nach einer Fahrradreise von Lelystad nach Steenwijk hatte ich ein Zimmer in diesem Hotel. wunderschönes Zimmer sehr gut Bett, schönes Sanitär und ein geräumiges Frühstück genug. Am nächsten Tag konnte ich nach einer Fahrradreise in der Umgebung, mich noch in diesem Hotel kleiden. Gutes Personal.
